Song Feature: "Await the Day"

My producer, Neale Eckstein, created this link to be included on his son and daughter-in-law's blog about their journey toward becoming pregnant with their first child.  This song is very special to me because I wrote it while I was pregnant with my first child, Ellis, as I was eagerly awaiting his arrival.  I would sing it to myself during my pregnancy and meditate on this little person who would soon be my son, I would soon become his mother.  When he was born, my whole world changed in profound ways.  I had no idea how much I would love this little being til I finally met him, but my song was my attempt to anticipate those feelings.  Heck, I was already madly in love with him while he was still inside my belly.  My song, "Sitting by the Window" on my second CD, "Carnival Day," is my part-two song about now watching Ellis grow and change with the seasons.  Hope you enjoy this song, "Await the Day."  The fantastic songwriter, John McVey, sings harmonies on the end of the song that still gives me chills (for you Music Together families out there, if his voice sounds familiar, it's because he coincidentally also sings many of the songs on the Music Together recordings).
